How to Make French Press Coffee

If you know French Press is limited to a ‘carafe’ where coffee or tea is served, then you should read this article. Because French Press really has something else that can make your morning coffee more enjoyable if you use it appropriately.

French press is not a new name in the world of coffee. Its presence has long been one of the manual methods of brew in brewing coffee. Unlike other brew manuals that use paper filters or able kone, the french press is different from the simplicity that makes it alluring and timeless.

Then how is the coffee produced? If you know how to use it, brewed coffee using a french press will give you a ‘feature’ that is no less delicious than other methods. Unfiltered paper causes the french press to produce a flavor with richer, smoother and slightly oily. Even so the french press allows your coffee smell stronger and certainly fun.

Then how to make French press coffee in a way that is good and correct for the coffee produced in accordance with expectations? Here we describe the steps for your french press to produce the right coffee.

Use good water
Coffee contains 98% H2O, therefore good coffee should come from good water as well. Make sure the water to be used is not contaminated by other substances and flavors. The container where your water should be completely clean so no traces of taste or aroma from other beverages that stick there. It is good to try the water you will use to make coffee first. If the taste of the water fits you well, then it is also fitting to brew coffee.

Use fresh, fresh coffee
Long-standing coffee will not give you the same pleasure as freshly roasted coffee beans and it will affect when brewed by a French press. Coffee beans that are too long left with open packs do not have the same flavor and aroma that are still tightly sealed in the packaging. The fresh and fresh coffee beans have a strong aroma and look a little oily. And that’s how good coffee should be.

Grind the beans before brewing
For best results, use freshly ground coffee instead of ground coffee for days. Mill the coffee just before brewing for maximum results. Like fruit, cut the apple just before eating. Just like coffee, mop the seeds just before brewing for the best flavor and aroma you’ll enjoy in the final result. Make sure the resulting coffee powder is not too smooth because it can allow clog filter from the french press. Medium is the right choice.

Do not follow the standard french press size
Your coffee is your personal taste. So if you want to enjoy coffee according to personal taste, measure your own dose of coffee and water you want. Usually 18 – 20 grams of coffee for 8 ounces of water is a fitting size for beginners. If you want a stronger taste maybe you can add the coffee or reduce the water. Experiment with taste. Do not let the guidebook dictate you. Define your own coffee taste.

Use water with the right temperature
Water that is too hot will release a bitter taste that should not. While the water is not hot will not remove the desired taste of delicious coffee. Therefore, usually 94 degrees Celsius is the right temperature for the French press. But if you do not want to bother removing the thermometer, heat the water until it boils and allow 30 seconds before use. Then the right temperature you can also get.

Get your coffee!
Add the coffee powder to the bottom of the press french and pour a third of the water on top. Allow coffee and water for 30 seconds and then stir gently. Make sure the coffee and water are ‘cooked’ perfectly for you to get the pleasure you want. After that, pour the remaining water and let the brewing process begin.

Timeliness affects the taste
The brewing process is too short will make your coffee taste becomes sour and thin. If the brewing process takes too long, your coffee will end bitterly. For best results, let your coffee be in the french press for 4 minutes before you enjoy it.

Be careful in ‘pressing’
After the brewing process is complete, press the plunger firmly, slowly and carefully. Pressing too hard will cause the coffee to spray out and it all gets messy. Prudence is necessary in this process.

Enjoy your coffee!
Once everything is done, pour the coffee into your cup. Enjoy the coffee with the maximum. But remember, if you do not want to spend your coffee at once in a french press, do not let the rest stuck in the french press. Pour the remaining coffee into another container. Because the coffee is too long silenced in the french press will be members
