The Kuningan area of South Jakarta is being totally transformed with new skyscrapers. Construction of Rasuna Tower situated in Jalan HR Rasuna Said commenced in August 2011 and when completed will be the tallest building in Jakarta reaching 269 m (882ft).
A total of 136,000 mē (1.4 million sq ft) of offices including a 227 suite 5-Star hotel, ball room and 5 basement levels will be incorporated into the development.
A roof top helipad will be provided above a revolving restaurant at levels 61 and 62.
The building will be founded on a 3 metre thick reinforced concrete raft slab resting on a dense soil layer 20 m below the ground level. To compensate wind loads a water filled concrete enclosed tank shall act as a damper and be installed at level 44.
