![]() I created this thread to serve as a forum for discussion and a place to share information about a variety of things related to aviation in Indonesia. You are allowed to post the story about the various airports across the archipelago ( large and small even air-strips ), story about airlines owned by Indonesia, flight schedules and so forth. It is expected that your participation by posting various things related, could be in the form of articles, pictures, etc..

![]() ~ SOEKARNO - HATTA Internasional Airport ~ Jakarta HISTORY :(Part Two) Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno–Hatta) (IATA: CGK, ICAO: WIII), abbreviated SHIA is the main airport serving the greater Jakarta area on the island of Java, Indonesia together with Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. The airport is named after the first President of Indonesia, Soekarno, and the first vice-president, Mohammad Hatta. The airport's IATA code, CGK, originates from Cengkareng, a district northwest of the city, and it is often called Cengkareng Airport by Indonesians, although the airport is administratively located within Tangerang. Located about 20 km west of Jakarta, in Tangerang, Banten, Soekarno–Hatta Airport began operations in 1985, replacing the former Kemayoran Airport (domestic flights) in Central Jakarta, and Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport in East Jakarta. Kemayoran Airport has since been transformed into public areas. Halim Perdanakusuma is still operating, serving mostly domestic, hajj flight, VVIP, charters and military flights. Terminal 2 opened in 1991 and Terminal 3 opened in 2009, but in 2010 total passengers reached 43.7 million, surpassing the 38-million passenger capacity of all 3 terminals. In 2012, the airport was the 9th busiest airport in the world with 57.8 million passengers, a 12.1% increase over 2011. It is also the busiest airport in the Southern Hemisphere. Although the airport is running over capacity, on May 4, 2012 after verification from April 23 to May 3, the Airport Council International (ACI) stated that Soekarno–Hatta International Airport is clearly being operated safely . All safety flying procedures are running well. To overcome the overcapacity, on August 2, 2012 the ground breaking was done at terminal 3 to turn into an Aerotropolis airport which can serve 62 million passengers per year. This is predicted to be completed at the end of 2014. [ penerbangan terutama international sering delay] Bahkan ada pengalaman lucu ... landasan pacu 1 ... antrian ke 5 : nunggu 30 menit ... di landasan 2 antrian ke 3 : si pilot smart ... dia minta take off dari landasan 2 ... trus taxi dari T2 ke T1 .. ha ha ha |

![]() Permasalahan pokoknya IMOO adalah sikap mental pengelola CGK (AP 2) dan juga Pemerintah Pusat (CGK adalah Main Gate ke Ibukota negara terbesar ke 4 di dunia, Kota tempat Sekretariat ASEAN berada.. jd IMO, Pemerintah Pusat seharusnya jg sangat concern thdp keberadaan CGK), jelas nampak mereka tak punya visi lebih jauh ke depan, tp lebih berpuas diri dengan cara kerja "tambal sulam".. padahal yang ditangani / yang dikelola adalah sebuah bandara yang "sangat besar" untuk melayani sebuah kota yang merupakan Ibukota sebuah negeri yg merupakan "kekuatan ekonomi terbesar di Asia Tenggara"...
Kalau ga salah, dulu 'master plan' CGK adalah untuk menampung 90 juta penumpang / tahun.. sedari awal dibangun, seharusnya Pemerintah Pusat sudah mengeluarkan Peraturan / UU yg bertujuan utk 'mengamankan' kepentingan CGK, termasuk soal kedudukan secara administratif (sehingga tdk perlu terjadi "adu otot" antara Jakarta dan Banten).. dan dicadangkan lahan yang cukup bagi pengembangan CGK sampai 50-100 tahun kedepan, sehingga tidak bisa orang2, siapapun,.. mematok, membangun struktur apapun di luar peruntukan CGK sbg airport termasuk bikin lapangan golf ! Lalu.. disaat sekarang sudah mulai muncul "permasalahan" (termasuk masalah daya tampung / daya dukung CGK sbg airport besar) seharusnya Grand Design yg dibuat dan di bangga2kan itu tidak hanya utk proyeksi "dapat menampung sampai dengan 62 jt penumpang" /tahun... juga seharusnya sudah tdk bisa ditawar-tawar lg Re-vitalisasi infrastruktur CGK termasuk SDM yg kelas dunia... welleeeh... kok jd ngoceh yakk..?? dasar ![]() |

EXISTING (aerial view) ![]() ![]() MASTER PLAN ![]() Master Plan 1 (rencana awal) ![]() Master Plan 2 (rencana baru a.k.a Grand Design) ![]() Adakah diantara forumers di sini yang bisa melihat bahwa yang dibangga-banggakan sebagai "Grand Design" itu ternyata : tetap sangat jauh dari rencana awal untuk membuat CGK menjadi airport yg bisa menampung 90jt penumpang / tahun ? Coba kalau T3 dan T4 juga menggunakan design setengah linkaran ... pasti jadi paling indah di dunia di lihat dari atas CGK ini ... Personally say, ... I am sad with their sacrificing traditional design and unique of CGK |
