Gogoman 6th July 2021, 09:46 PM Good day. We were just recently testing a new salvage tug for the Navy, which today has successfully completed its development and has been launched. All of this was done through close collaboration with the engineering and software company SDC Verifier and their powerful FEA software (https://sdcverifier.com/). Sea trials of this rescue tug have already begun. This is the third vessel to undergo such a verification using automated software. This saves time, money and provides the most reliable approach. Marlowe6 8th June 2022, 12:01 PM Finite element analysis software is a valuable tool to analyze complex structures and optimize their design. ANSYS, ABAQUS and COMSOL are the most common software used in commercial FEA. I would recommend using ANSYS or COMSOL one because they are extremely versatile and can simulate everything from simply supported beams to nonlinear problems like abrasive waterjet cutting of glass. |
