WIN-Statik is an easy to use structural engineering software for common design tasks. It contains both analysis and design that is performed in accordance to Eurocode with different national annex. The software is widely used in Scandinavia and has been the main design tool for structural engineers for the last 35 years.

Software function
1. Concrete Beam
This module helps you analyze and design continuous beams according to Eurocodes. Based on the bending moments and shear forces calculated in the analysis section, determine the required longitudinal reinforcement and stirrups. Regarding bonding, optimization of the required reinforcement length can be performed graphically.
Under normal serviceability limit states, crack section deflection analysis can be performed, and design regarding crack width and displacement can be performed to meet standard or user-defined requirements. Alternatively, cracks and displacements can be calculated based on specified reinforcement.
2. Concrete Column
This module helps you analyze and design continuous beams according to Eurocodes. Based on the bending moments and shear forces calculated in the analysis section, determine the required longitudinal reinforcement and stirrups. Regarding bonding, optimization of the required reinforcement length can be performed graphically.

4. Concrete Section
Using the Concrete Sections module you can design the required reinforcement or check the specified reinforcement. This can be performed for many parametric sections.
The software can handle moments and shear forces applied along the main axis (oblique bending) as well as axial forces and torques. Rebar of various grades and diameters can be blended via powerful graphics management to create arbitrary rebar distributions.
5. Foundation
The Basics module helps you analyze and design limit states and serviceability limit states of rigid rectangular base plates. According to EC2. You can also check soil capacity according to EC7, as well as settlement calculations.
6. Frame Analysis
Frame analysis of planar structures with arbitrary geometries can be performed according to first- or second-order theory. Using concrete, steel or timber modules, utilization checks can be carried out for load-carrying capacity limit states and serviceability limit states.
Geometry can be easily created via a point-and-click interface, or for common structures, parametric geometry and load modules are available. Standard steel, concrete and timber sections can be found in the database, and parametric sections can also be defined.
The structure can then be designed according to Eurocodes. Instabilities are also taken into account and you can define buckling length or second-order bending moment. Using the Concrete Module, it is also possible to perform cracked cross-section analysis taking into account creep and shrinkage.
7. Masonry Design
The Masonry module in WIN-Statik helps you design walls, columns, beams and straight arches made of masonry. The Wall module calculates walls with vertical and/or horizontal loads, reinforced and unreinforced.
You can also define solid walls, cavity walls, diaphragm walls, rib walls, and geometrically reinforced cavity walls. Shear walls with different geometries can be calculated.
The Column Module handles rectangular and U-shaped columns with vertical and horizontal loads. The Beam module can be used to design a span of field-laid beams. The Arch module is used to calculate straight arches.
8. Punching
Punching shear design capabilities for corner, side or interior columns can calculate three different load cases simultaneously. This can also be calculated if the concrete bearing capacity is exceeded and shear reinforcement in the form of bent bars or stirrups is required.
9. Retaining Wall
According to EC2, the Retaining Walls module allows you to analyze and design “T” and “L” shaped retaining walls for ultimate and serviceability limit states. You can also perform soil capacity checks as well as settlement calculations according to EC7.
10. Settlement
Settlement is a separate program that helps you calculate soil consolidation. Ground properties such as cohesive soils, cohesionless soils, and medium soils can be analyzed. The settlement license also activates settlement calculations for other programs in the WIN-Statik suite, such as foundations and retaining walls.
